Hi, I'm Mary Anne — the founder of Friven. Every engagement is led by me, backed by an exceptional team I've personally built and worked alongside for years. We're tight-knit, we know how each other works, and that makes everything we do faster and better for our clients.

I spent 14 years inside SaaS companies building operations functions from nothing. Across that time I've been part of two successful acquisitions: ScanUnlimited, where I led customer operations before its acquisition in 2022, and SmartPass, a K-12 EdTech company where I worked my way up to VP of Operations, built a 19-person ops team across seven functions, and helped scale the company from $400K ARR to over $10M ARR before its acquisition in 2024.

Along the way I built CRM infrastructure on HubSpot, finance stacks, customer success programs, compliance teams, support operations, and workflow automations. Most of it from scratch, and most of it before anyone realized it was needed.

I started Friven because K-12 EdTech companies deserve an ops partner who already knows the territory: the district procurement cycles, the data privacy requirements, the back-to-school chaos, and the operational reality of selling into schools. You shouldn't have to explain your world to the person helping you run it.
